Irish/German whizz-kid David Jackson has conquered playlists, crates, and hearts over the last few years. His debut track ‘Broken Heart’ on Berlin’s Frank Music was the first of heaps of David’s tracks to be championed by esteemed peers such as Denis Sulta, Mall Grab, Gerd Janson, DJ Seinfeld, Prospa, Annie Mac & the rest of the Radio 1 crew.
The breakthrough producer/DJ wraps italo disco, trance euphoria, and computer game kitsch, into a tidy little package. Radio 1 continued their support for David on his lockdown linkup track ‘Get Me Higher’, alongside UK-producer/vocalist Georgia. The track was David’s first track to be officially playlisted at R1, and was followed by a run of releases on legendary imprint Positiva Records, a ‘hottest record’ follow-up release on Frank Music, and a banging EP on Denis Sulta’s label Sulta Selects.
David’s talent as a remixer has also shone through in his remixes for the likes of SG Lewis, Chase & Status, Jessie Ware and Pet Shop Boys, with the latter personally commissioning not one but two remix versions of their hit single ‘I Don’t Wanna’ to a huge response at press.
With an EP on Steel City Dance Discs launching 2023, followed by a release on Running Back – keep an eye on this wizard.
